Alkali Creek School has received an upgrade of security cameras and an intercom system. Since Jan. 7th, 2014, our front doors have been locked beginning at 8:30am, after students arrive, and will remain locked throughout the school day. Parents and visitors coming to the school will go to the far right front door and press the intercom button to "ring" into the office. An intercom system will allow for recognition from school staff in order to unlock the door so parents and visitors can enter. **As always, all visitors will still be required to sign in with Mrs. Ponce and obtain a visitor's badge. This new system does not eliminate that standard procedure. While this may be somewhat inconvenient at first, we ask that everyone is patient and understanding while we all learn and adjust to this new, safer method of granting access in and out of our building. We know that student and staff safety is important to everyone, and that is the underlying reason for this security system. If you have any questions regarding this new system, please feel free to contact me at 281-6200.
